About
About sodagiant: Do you ever walk into the convenience store and stand in front of the cooler for 5 minutes, unsure of what to drink? sodagiant, The Internets Soft Drink Review Show, is here to help. Host John Engelman explores the wide world of soft drinks, from major brand sodas to things slightly more obscure, he’s drinking it all. His goal is to give you honest and in-depth reviews on the myriad of beverages at your local convenience store and make your drink buying decision a little easier.
About Me: My name is John Engelman and I am the sodagiant. I love beverages, period. I may not be the most adventurous food person in the world (I don’t like cheese. It’s true. Questions? E-mail me: sodagiant@gmail.com), but I’ll drink damn near anything.
Some of you may know me from my art as heavynuggets, or from my work with MIDWESTpeeps. After being laid off by a big box retailer in February of 2009 I have been searching for my passion (early midlife crisis?) and I decided now was the time to CRUSH IT.
I started this video review site following something I love, soda, and I can’t wait to try new drinks and make some friends. You can follow my personal Twitter account and I’d love to be your friend on Facebook.
I am also a huge music fan and have seen the band Umphrey’s McGee too many times (seriously though, as of 5/31 I think I’m at 95). They’re the best rock band on the planet. Check them out.
About the Website and Show: I am not employed or endorsed by any of the products I review, though if you would like to have your beverage reviewed, or are interested in advertising/endorsements, feel free to contact me at sodagiant@gmail.com. Here’s a list of things I’d like if I do review your beverage: Product samples (obviously), 2 of each flavor if possible, distributor lists, marketing kits, sell sheets, press clippings, and press releases. I also really like T-shirts (size Large, please) and will wear it proudly.
All video is shot with a Flip Ultra HD. I edit using Pinnacle Studio 14 on an ASUS G50 PC running Windows 7.
All graphic design work thus far (show bumps, headers, backgrounds) has been done by myself. It is subject to change at any time, and probably will. I like to keep things fresh, and am always looking to improve.
This website is entirely hosted and built on posterous.com. I didn’t design any of the theme. Not yet, anyway.
